Under sail, the average speed is 8-12 knots (approximately 9-13 miles per hour). Whereas a monohull treads through the water, catamarans skim over the surface.

Yes, you can! When you purchase your gift certificate online, you will be presented immediately with your gift certificate so that you can print it out and deliver it. If you buy it over the phone, a link to your gift certificate will be emailed to you as soon as your purchase is completed.
That’s no problem, either! When you purchase your gift certificate, just select the option to have the certificate emailed directly to the recipient and provide their email address. You’ll even be able to decide whether you want the email sent immediately or if you’d prefer to schedule it to be emailed on a future date. (For instance, if you want to buy it today so you don’t forget, but you don’t want it emailed to the recipient until their special day!)
Probably not. Since we are so stable most people don’t have any problems. If you are very susceptible you may want to get a patch or some seasick pills.
It’s always a possibility outside, but most areas of the boat stay dry. Check with your crew upon boarding and they will show you the safe spots.
Yes, we have life jackets for kids and adults.
We try to schedule the sunset sails so that you always get a great view of the setting sun. Depending on the time of year and daylight saving time, the sun will set at different times.
On your scenic sail around the San Francisco Bay, you’ll sail by historic Alcatraz Island, get a unique view as you sail under the Golden Gate Bridge, take plenty of photos of the breath-taking San Francisco city skyline and pass by a colony of sea lions or even spot some whales.
Yes, we do have a bathroom on board. For your own convenience you may want to use the bathroom prior to boarding.
People who go on Adventure Cat 1 or Adventure Cat 2 usually wear jeans, a tee shirt or sweatshirt, tennis shoes & take a jacket. If it’s a special occasion, they might get all dressed up.
Bring an extra layer of clothing/jacket (the Bay can get chilly!) and wear some comfortable shoes.
Free cancellation outside of 24hrs prior to the day of your trip. Within 24hrs we unfortunately can’t offer a refund as we have turned away other paying business in order to hold your seats. Thank you for understanding!
We strongly recommend you purchase tickets in advance as cruises often sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Severe weather in this area of California is rare and cruises will proceed as scheduled in light rain and other mild weather conditions. Both our boats have 360-degree, protected viewing areas! In the rare event that we have to cancel a cruise, you will have the opportunity to reschedule your tickets (subject to availability) or receive credit towards a future event.
